The Outeniqua mountains run parallel to the Southern Cape coast where they create part of the scenic attraction of the Garden Route.

Just beyond the top of the historic Montagu Pass, which winds its way up the mountains above George, lie the vineyards and cellar of HEROLD.

Cool mountain mists and year-round rainfall create a long ripening season for the Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz wines, which are grown, made and bottled on the farm.
