Directions from George, over the Outeniqua Pass (40 min./38 km):

Take the N9 over the Outeniqua Pass. Pass the turn-off to Oudtshoorn on the left, and 9 km further on turn right to Montagu Pass/Herold. After traveling a further 3,7 km, turn left between the stone gate posts where HEROLD WINES is signposted. Follow the farm road past fields of hops and through two gates, for 2,1 km and a right turn will take you to the cellar.

Directions from George over the Montagu Pass (30 min./18 km):

At the bottom of the Outeniqua Pass turn right onto the signposted dirt road of the Montagu Pass. From the top of the Montagu Pass, continue past the 'Ou Hotel' on the right. About 1,5 km further on, turn right between the stone gate posts where HEROLD WINES is signposted. Follow the farm road past fields of hops and through two gates, for 2,1 km and a right turn will take you to the cellar.
